The term modulation is at home in the visual arts as well as in music. A combination of visual art, music and literature emerges: The visual artists incorporate sound and space into their work and cooperate with the musicians Inge Morgenroth from Berlin and Martina Cizek from Vienna. A guest artist from Poland also participates. The confrontation with the rooms takes place with very different means. Work incorporates sound installations, video, objects and painting. With Ida, a literary figure of Gertrude Steins, modulation also receives a linguistic level. At the opening, Martina Cizek and Elke Postler show the Performance Blau in the pigsties in the „up and down“.

Ehemalige Schweineställe der LPG Lietzen
Ausstellungsort der Sommerwerkstatt Modulation sind noch einmal die Schweineställe der ehemaligen LPG Lietzen. Das Konzept des Vereins, leerstehende Räume zu bespielen, verdichtet sich und wird künftig zu einem Motor der Inspiration. Der Begriff Modulation ist in der Bildenden Kunst ebenso zu Hause wie in der Musik. Eine Verbindung von Bildender Kunst, Musik und Literatur entsteht: Die Bildenden Künstlerinnen beziehen Klang und Raum in ihre Arbeiten ein und kooperieren mit den Musikerinnen Inge Morgenroth aus Berlin und Martina Cizek aus Wien. Eine Gastkünstlerin aus Polen nimmt ebenfalls teil. Die Auseinandersetzung mit den Räumen findet mit ganz unterschiedlichen Mitteln statt. Es wird mit Klanginstallationen, Video, Objekten und Malerei gearbeitet. Mit Ida, einer literarischen Kunstfigur Getrude Steins, erhält Modulation zudem eine sprachliche Ebene. Zur Eröffnung zeigen Martina Cizek und Elke Postler in den Schweineställen die Performance Blau im Auf und Nieder.
